The Sand dollar also called the Holy Ghost Shell consist mostly of hard shell called a test with very little live tissue .The creature manages to capture more than its share of attention from beach goers. Not only is the sand dollar interesting and beautiful, but the holes and markings in the hard test are seen as religious symbols by many.
