Aug 15, 2024 · YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University E-Club Hall of Famer Harvey Marlatt passed away Thursday, Aug, 8, at the age of 75. Marlatt, a men's basketball student-athlete, was inducted into the E-Club Hall of Fame in 1979.

Harvey played four years at EMU and was captain of the basketball team for two of those years earning second team all-American honors as a senior. He also played two and a half seasons for the Detroit Pistons. Harvey went on to become a beloved teacher and coach.

May 2, 2018 · He also coached basketball prior to moving to Atlanta. Rod was a licensed well driller, an avid golfer, and enjoyed to hunt and fish. Above all, he enjoyed his time spent with family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Harvey Marlatt (August 26, 1948 – August 8, 2024) was an American professional basketball player for the Detroit Pistons from 1970 to 1972. He played in 61 games as a Piston and scored 225 points. Before joining the Pistons, he played basketball for Eastern Michigan University.
