Mar 3, 2004 · They are FAST and kinda misleading, because they dont launch as hard as most 'drag' cars like 5.0 mustangs and such. they come on HARD at the top end and can keep accelerating up to 135+ REAL fast, topping out at 150+ if you have the room and the stones. (stock) You'll need more than a mild 350 to beat em, and some traction to put it to the ground.

My car kind of does here . . . of course there is always someone faster, but most of the cars that are faster here look like race cars. Not trying to brag, just illustrating that there are a lot of people that aren't as fast as they think . . . talk is cheap.

Feb 19, 2024 · If you are seeing the road test reports in the old car mags you are seeing tests of magazine pool cars. They weren't given Z's with 4.88's. My stock motored 67SS ran 14.0's all day with 4.10's. By today's standards the bulk of muscle cars weren't all that fast set up how they left the factory though some were truly exceptional.

Nov 5, 2024 · 67/8 Z28 HD 2 pc. I have always liked these, great bracket especially important along with the deep groove pulleys and a good cogged belt when spinning the little motor to 8K regularly. I have used the HD Z brackets & pulleys on all the 68 Camaros I have owned. not just the Zs. I like using GM stuff when I can. Works & looks great on the 67/8 cars.

He is someone that I would highly recommend to you. He let me know costs up front, and completed the work in the time frame he said he would.

Feb 18, 2006 · Milder blower cars (mild cam) do not have any surge unless the tune up is off. Go to the track and walk the pits, you will here that wonderful surging sound all over the place. Blown alky cars have a very fast paced surge, very distinct sound.
