Neil Young is setting the record straight about his upcoming appearance at Glastonbury 2025. The legendary musician took to his personal blog on Friday to say he will in fact be playing at the celebrated UK-based fest, after previously announcing he had pulled out of the commitment.

On Dec. 31, the singer-songwriter had shared a letter on Neil Young Archives announcing he would no longer play the event due to BBC's "corporate control." On Friday, Young reversed his decision.

The Canadian rocker had initially called the festival a "corporate turn-off" earlier this week, blaming the BBC's involvement at the event.

The rock star will now perform at the U.K. music festival after saying Tuesday he wouldn't be playing because Glastonbury was under the BBC's "corporate control."

Oddly, this scenario makes Young only the second performer confirmed for the Glastonbury 2025 lineup. Rod Stewart was previously announced to be playing the “teatime legend” slot. The festival takes place from June 25 to June 29 and will be broadcast on television, radio, streaming, and online by the BBC.
