Thousands gathered across Southern California on Saturday, Oct. 18 to protest President Donald Trump’s policies since his return to office at the beginning of the year.

Tens of thousands of protesters took to the streets across the U.S. on Saturday for “No Kings” demonstrations against President Trump, portraying the commander in chief as an aspiring monarch as he continues to engage in what critics argue is government overreach.

Labor leaders and organizers called on union members and Southern California residents to show up to rallies Saturday.

As millions of Americans take to the streets — from New York to Los Angeles — Hollywood is voicing its support for the nationwide No Kings protests.

Protesters gathered in L.A. and elsewhere in Southern California for 'No Kings' demonstrations, a nationwide effort to push back against President Trump's policies.

"Artillery pieces have historically been fired during routine training from land-based artillery firing points west of the I-5 into impact areas east of the interstate within existing safety protocols and without the need to close the route," the statement said.
