Kansas is seeing more snow this week after a weekend blizzard and KSN’s Storm Track 3 weather team is tracking the snow. Reports will be added as they come in. 7:46 p.m. 7:10 p.m. 7:01 p.m. 6:38 p.m.

Kansas City International Airport, for example, has an 85% chance of snowfall exceeding .1 of an inch, according to data from the weather service. The probability of higher snowfall totals drops rapidly, with only a 50% chance of snowfall exceeding 1 inch. The chance of 2 inches or more of snow is less than 10%.

Kansas law reads: “No person shall drive any motor vehicle with any sign, poster or other nontransparent material upon the front windshield, side wings or side or rear windows of such vehicle which substantially obstructs, obscures or impairs the driver’s clear view of the highway or any intersecting highway.”

Regardless of the weather, fans are known to line up to fill the 18,000-seat T-Mobile Center in the Power and Light District of downtown Kansas City, Mo., every time Winter Jam comes to town. Carswell said Kansas City has always given a warm welcome to Winter Jam.

Accumulating freezing rain and sleet will be the first hazard of the winter storm to hit Kansas City. The ice is coming Saturday, then as the cold air moves in, heavier snow will develop on Sunday.
