Chelsea could welcome back two key members of their squad for the trip to face Manchester City in the Premier League.

Enzo Maresca believes Chelsea do not need to sign another midfielder in this window despite Romeo Lavia being ruled out with injury for the third time this season. Lavia sustained a muscular injury against Bournemouth last week and as reported by The Athletic,

Romeo Lavia faces a number of weeks out of action for Chelsea in a fresh blow to manager Enzo Maresca. The midfielder missed Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Wolves with a muscle injury he had picked up in the previous match against Bournemouth.

Lavia is back on the sidelines for Chelsea and faces several more weeks out of action. Reports suggest that the midfielder will not immediately return to the team after also missing training. What Maresca said: "We don't know yet [when he will return].
