SALEM, Ore. (KATU) — Avelo Airlines announced it will close its base at Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) by the end of 2025.

The airline also announced it will reduce service at Hollywood Burbank Airport before closing the base in December.

The budget airline has faced protests and calls for boycotts because of its contract to operate deportation flights.
