According to the St. Helena Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the 1500 block of Sawmill Road or Par Road 37, just off of Leonard Chapel Road in Amite about an apparent triple homicide around 4:30 p.

St. Helena Sheriff Clay Chutz said the youngest victim was a one-year-old infant and the other child was 10 years old. The 40-year-old woman killed in the attack is the mother of the 10-year-old and the aunt of the infant. Fox 8’s sister station WAFB reports the infant is Jones' son.
