The new Navy submarine, a nuclear-powered Virginia-class vessel, is the first submarine to be named for the state.

A visit to the iconic Battleship USS Iowa Museum includes access to both interior and exterior areas on seven decks. The self-guided tour lets visitors see what life was like on the ship.

The most recent was the former USS IOWA (BB-61). That was a battleship that served for three different times in the 40’s, 50’s and 80’s and is now a museum in Los Angeles.
