Father Lopez girls tie for 17th at Class 1A state swim championships
Father Lopez polished off the high school swimming season at the Class 1A state meet Friday at Florida Aquatics Swimming Training in Ocala. The Green Wave girls tied Miami’s Carrollton School for 17th place with 29 points.
STATE SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS: Port Angeles girls eighth in the state
The Olympic League dominated the state 1A/2A meet with Bainbridge winning the state championship with 316 points and North Kitsap a solid second at an even 200 points. Port Angeles was eighth, Bremerton 16th, Sequim 21st (26 points) and Olympic 23rd. East Jefferson, going up against mostly 2A schools, finished 31st out of 40 schools with 14 points.

Final-day results from the 2024 Missouri swimming and diving state championships
The annual MSHSAA (Missouri State High School Activities Association) meets concluded on Saturday. Kearney’s Whitaker Steward, who competed in this year’s Olympic Trials ahead of the Paris Games, took home state titles and set Class 1 records in both the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle at the St. Peters Rec-Plex pool.
