Quantum computing stocks have risen significantly in recent months due to several ground-breaking developments. For instance, earlier this month D-Wave Quantum (QBTS) demonstrated its quantum computer outperforming a classical supercomputer.

The problem with sending quantum computing stocks soaring is there is no guarantee Nvidia will actually reveal one. It is all based on speculation by Mizuho Securities analyst Vijay Rakesh who suggested it might do so. If Nvidia and Huang don’t deliver, expect quantum computing stocks to crash once more.
