Police Chief Steve Drew and Commonwealth’s Attorney Shannon Jones said Tuesday that the police officer who pulled his gun on a car full of young people at City Center on Sunday acted reasonably in a tense situation.

A 17-year-old captured video of a Newport News police officer pointing his gun at an SUV and its driver over the weekend at City Center. The chief is expected to address the incident Tuesday morning.

At least 25 people were shot in Chicago over Memorial Day weekend, according to police, including four teenagers wounded on the city's West Side.
