Google has added an experimental feature to the Discover feed, allowing you to listen to a recap of the day’s stories as a personalized mini-podcast.

On Wednesday, Google announced Daily Listen, an experiment in its AI-testing ground Search Labs. Daily Listen lives at the top of the homepage in the Google app on Android and iOS. By clicking on the feature, you get a 5-minute or less audio recap of topics you're interested in, generated by AI.

Listen works like NotebookLM's Audio Overviews, but while NotebookLM creates a short podcast based on a prompt, Daily Listen examines topics and stories the user follows regularly.

Google has another new product for you to test, and once again, it's centered on AI: It's called Daily Listen, and it sums up news topics from your Discover feed and web searches to produce a short podcast of the news headlines.
