With the start of their third Big 12 spring football practices around the corner, the University of Cincinnati Bearcats offered a sneak peek at their new transfer portal additions for 2025 on Thursday. Coming off of seasons of 3-9 and 5-7, Scott Satterfield's staff again hopes the new additions can lead to a coveted bowl game.

Cincinnati had four new football transfers address the media on Thursday afternoon, including guard Taran Tyo, cornerback Matthew McDoom, safety Christian Harrison, and running back Tawee Walker. They echoed a loving atmosphere that drew them into the program.

Ohio State football dealt with a few departures via the transfer portal, but as we always say, once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye, and we want to continue to follow and cheer on all our former Ohio State players.

Patrick Gurd, who just helped the Ohio State Buckeyes win a national championship, will play his final season for Scott Satterfield and the Bearcats. Gurd is 6-foot-4 and 249 pounds and prepped at New Albany High School. Gurd made his announcement Monday night.

Ohio State tight end Patrick Gurd is transferring to the school after visiting Cincinnati this past Thursday. Joe Royer's former teammate has appeared in 22 games across his Buckeye career with two catches for 15 yards. Cincinnati could use the depth at tight end and Gurd fit that nicely during his final season of eligibility.
