There’s an active recall on approximately 349,500 kitchen scales sold online through Amazon, Walmart and other retailers, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). This is due to an ingestion hazard.

In early January it was revealed that Walmart's washed and ready-to-eat 12 oz. Marketside Broccoli Florets were voluntarily recalled by Braga Fresh due to a possible contamination of Listeria monocytogenes. Although the item is no longer on shelves, consumers could still have bags in their freezer.

The recall affects 12-ounce bags of the product, which were sold in 20 states and pose serious health risks if consumed.

In late October, Brooklyn-based Acme Smoked Fish voluntarily recalled its smoked salmon sold under Costco's in-house brand Kirkland. At the time, laboratory testing of the smoked salmon confirmed the presence of L. monocytogenes, the bacteria that can lead to listeriosis.

Broccoli packages sold at Walmart stores in 20 states have received an elevated recall status over a Listeria contamination that has potentially fatal consequences.

A recall of bags of Braga Fresh broccoli florets has been revised and is now listed as a Class 1 recall, the highest level of risk the FDA issues.

Chicken broth sold by Walmart in several states, including Georgia, Oklahoma and Texas has been classified as a Class II recall. The broth was produced by Tree House Foods Inc., which is based in Canada, and was initially recalled on Dec. 11, 2024, according to the Food and Drug Administration notice.

Eggs are a staple in many households, whether for breakfast or everyday cooking. However, Health Canada is warning consumers this week about a recall on eggs from various brands sold at Walmart, Sobeys and other retailers due to potential bacterial contamination that could pose health risks ranging from mild to severe.
