Mike Sullivan wouldn’t say who is going to play for Team USA in Thursday’s final of the NHL 4 Nations Face-Off in Boston. But everybody on his roster except for Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy is capable of playing when the Americans face Canada at 8 p.m. at TD Garden.

U.S. President Donald Trump phoned Team USA on Thursday morning to express his support ahead of the 4 Nations Face-Off championship game against Canada, after he had already stoked simmering political tensions that morning in a post to his Truth Social account where he once again referred to Canada as the “Fifty First State” and called Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau “governor.
