The Indian cricket team’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav has been given the green signal by the National Cricket Academy to return to action as he has recovered from a thumb injury. He will mark his comeback with the third round of the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024-25 tournament.

Suryakumar Yadav, who missed the first two round matches of the Duleep Trophy 2024 due to a thumb injury, recovered on time to be named in India Bs playing eleven for their third and last round match against India D.

Suryakumar Yadav missed the opening two fixtures of the Duleep Trophy 2024 after failing to recover from his thumb injury but is set to return to action with India B in the final-round clash against Shreyas Iyer's India D starting on September 19.

India B was boosted by the last-minute addition of Suryakumar Yadav for its third-round Duleep Trophy fixture against India D at the Rural Development Trust Stadium B-ground in Anantapur.
