Authorities suspended the search for seven missing people, including two children, after a panga-style boat overturned near San Diego on May 5 and three people were found dead.

At least three people have been confirmed dead while nine others remain missing after a small boat capsized off the coast of San Diego early Monday.

The authorities said 17 life jackets were found but it was unknown how many people were aboard. Search and rescue efforts were suspended Monday morning.
