Grab the umbrella! Rain is likely across Southwest and Central Virginia on Thursday. Widespread rain is anticipated in the Mid-Atlantic on Thursday as a storm system moves through the region. Isolated pockets of sleet and freezing rain may develop at higher elevations during the morning hours.

High pressure will remain in control of our weather again on Wednesday. The day will start with sunshine before clouds begin to build into the region during the afternoon and evening. Temperatures on Wednesday will be cooler with many starting in the 30s before rising into the 50s during the afternoon.

High pressure will build into the region for the first half of this week, allowing for sunny conditions for Tuesday. With sunshine, temperatures for Tuesday will be above average. Clear skies at night will make for chilly mornings though.
