Firefighters are battling at least four separate wildfires on Colorado’s Western Slope that have ravaged thousands of acres and closed a national park amid dry conditions.

A historic lodge on the Grand Canyon's North Rim has been destroyed by a fast-moving wildfire, the park said Sunday.

Nearly 200 firefighters are working the South Rim fire at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. A lightning storm Thursday sparked numerous fires.
