Authorities in Germany on Monday released details of past threats made by the suspected perpetrator of the deadly car rampage through a Christmas market in Magdeburg. According to the Ministry of Justice in the north-eastern state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern,

Germany's interior minister said on Monday it was still too soon to jump to any conclusions about the man suspected of driving his car into a Christmas market in Magdeburg and killing at least five people.

The suspected perpetrator involved in the fatal incident at the Magdeburg Christmas market is expected to lose his medical licence, the regional administration for the state of Saxony-Anhalt announced on Friday.

The suspect in the deadly car-ramming attack on a German Christmas market showed signs of mental illness, making the incident even harder to prevent, German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser said on Monday.

A video of a police operation in Berlin has been misleadingly linked online to the Dec. 20 car-ramming attack at a Christmas market in the central German city of Magdeburg in posts suggesting that Muslims were targeted by authorities following the attack.

Germany’s Interior Minister Nancy Faeser said on Monday there are indications that the Saudi suspect in a deadly car-ramming attack on a Christmas market 10 days ago was mentally ill. Faeser told reporters that no motive had yet been established,

All surviving victims of the Magdeburg Christmas market attack are in a stable condition after being taken to hospital mostly with broken bones and internal bleeding, a local hospital official has told a German newspaper.
