After finishing his fifth collegiate season, former Georgia quarterback Carson Beck appeared ready to head to the NFL. However, he surprised people when he entered the transfer portal on Thursday, a sign that he wasn't ready to make the jump.

Carson Beck is hoping transferring to Miami works out as well for him as it did for another veteran QB, Cam Ward.

“Sources: Georgia transfer quarterback Carson Beck has committed to Miami, with an announcement of his commitment expected soon,” Pete Thamel said in a post. “Beck, a two-year starter for the Bulldogs with a 24-3 career record, will succeed Heisman Trophy finalist Cam Ward there.”
