An Israeli strike on a home in northern Gaza killed three siblings aged 6 and under, among at least six people killed in airstrikes in the war-ravaged territory, Palestinian medics said. In Lebanon, an Israeli airstrike on an apartment building south of Beirut on Wednesday killed at least six people and wounded 15, the Health Ministry said.

Palestinian officials say an Israeli strike hit a tent sheltering a displaced family in the central Gaza Strip, killing at least three people including the parents of twins.

The war began when Hamas-led militants stormed into southern Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, killing some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and taking another 250 hostage. Around 100 hostages are still inside Gaza, a third of whom are believed to be dead.

Lebanon reported more than 20 deaths in Aalmat in Mount Lebanon province, as well as an attack in Baalbek to the east. In Gaza, first responders said a member of the Hamas-run government was killed. Follow DW for more.

The latest bombardment came as the U.S. said it would not reduce its military support for Israel after a deadline passed for allowing more humanitarian aid into Gaza.

Palestinian medical officials say Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 31 people in the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, including 11 at a makeshift cafeteria in an Israeli-declared humanitarian zone.
