Sidney Crosby scored for the Pittsburgh Penguins against the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday, clinching a 20th season averaging at least a point per game and passing Wayne Gretzky for the most in NHL history.

Sidney Crosby continues to prove he ranks with the greatest players in the history of the National Hockey League. While his Penguins languish in the standings, Crosby continues to put eye-opening and record setting numbers on the scoreboard.

Following Crosby and Gretzky for most point-per-game NHL seasons is Gordie Howe (17) and a number of players with 15, including Crosby's teammate Evgeni Malkin and Penguins great Mario Lemieux.
