Charleston's Emma Navarro, the No. 8 seed, faced 2023 Credit One Charleston Open champion Ons Jabeur in third round of Australian Open in Melbourne

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA, (AP) - Emma Navarro is on to the 4th round of the Australian Open for the 1st time. Navarro eliminated three-time major finalist Ons Jabeur 6-4, 3-6, 6-4, Navarro, who reached her first major semifinal at Flushing Meadows in September, has now won all three of her matches in Melbourne this year in three sets.

Emma Navarro, again, found a way to win a match that went the distance in the third round of the Australian Open.

No. 8 American tennis player Emma Navarro will play the currently unseeded three-time Major finalist Ons Jabeur in the Third Round of the Australian Open tonight. Jabeur was victorious the last time the pair met at the 2022 Charleston Open. The two face off tonight in Margaret Court Arena, starting around 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT.
