Dangerous cold arrives Monday morning in Chicago. The brutally cold morning brings wind chills of -20 to -25 degrees. A cold weather advisory is in effect until noon. The core of the polar air will settle across the Chicago area Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Monday's high could reach 9 degrees, but wind gusts as high as 25 miles per hour will make the air feel much colder, according to the National Weather Service.
