The Washington Nationals got some impressive performances out of their pitchers in the game against the New York Mets, and Shinnosuke Ogasawara was one of them.
Along with ending Sunday without a win, New York was also dealt some unfortunate news after the game against Washington. Giving 2018 first round pick Nick Madrigal the start at shortstop against the Nationals, New York lost its utility infielder for the game before he took one at-bat.
The trade came only hours after the Mets placed infielder Nick Madrigal on the 60-day injured list. Madrigal fractured his left shoulder Sunday against the Washington Nationals. Chicago designated Canario for assignment after signing veteran infielder Justin Turner last week.
