The Red Wings (21-19-4) bounced back strong from Tuesday’s 6-3 loss to San Jose, which snapped their seven-game winning streak, in the first stop of a challenging four-game trip. Florida (26-17-3) was 12-0-1 in its past 13 games against the Red Wings.
The Panthers acquired Tarasenko from the Ottawa Senators at the trade deadline last season to add depth to their forward group as well as a veteran presence who had already been where the Panthers were trying to go.
