James Adams and Victoria Howard have been arrested for their involvement in helping the man who shot Orange County Sheriff's Department Deputy Zac Andry, who remains in critical condition.

Adams, who was already incarcerated at the Scott County Jail on unrelated charges, has now also been charged with assisting a criminal and false informing. He's the second person arrested for allegedly helping Schepers.

Indiana State Police officials have charged a second person accused of helping Austin Schepers elude law enforcement.

Sandra Hebert is believed to be driving a 2006 Toyota Avalon with Indiana license plate D407GV. She was last seen on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 2:30 p.m.

Officials are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash, but do not believe drugs, alcohol or weather conditions were to blame.

According to police, 23-year-old Cole Lamkin of Charlestown, Indiana, drove off the roadway and crashed into a pole. Lamkin was the only one in the car and was taken to UofL Hospital where he later died. Police said Lamkin hit a mailbox and utility pole, but it's unknown at this time why his vehicle left the roadway.

NEW ALBANY, Ind. — A southern Indiana woman was arrested Thursday after police say she helped a man wanted for shooting an officer by ordering him a Lyft from her house. Victoria Howard, 35, of New Albany, is currently in Floyd County Jail. She is charged with assisting a criminal (level 5 felony) and false informing (misdemeanor).
