Former Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Dodgers star Kirk Gibson has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.

The Detroit Tigers and the Kirk Gibson Foundation will raise money for Parkinson's, with $5 of tickets sold by the charity going to the charity.

From now until then, any donations made to the Kirk Gibson Foundation for Parkinson's will be doubled — courtesy of the Lasch Family Foundation fund. Donation-matching will cap at $250,000.
