Nationwide protests against the Trump administration are planned for Saturday, including several in Central Oregon. The “No Kings” protests are a follow up to similar nationwide demonstrations held in June.
The Activist Coalition of Eugene Springfield, a coalition of 20 activist organizations in the two cities, organized the Eugene rally. ACES also organized the Hands Off protest rally in April and the "No Kings" rally in June. That protest coincided with President Donald Trump's birthday and a large military parade in Washington, D.C.
No Kings events are taking place across the country Saturday and thousands are expected to show their support in several events in downtown Houston and at gatherings in surrounding cities.
