Thousands of people around the nation are expected to participate in another round of “No Kings” protests this Saturday including over 50 planned events in Oregon alone.

Tens of thousands across Oregon and Washington — and nationwide — peacefully marched in the "No Kings" demonstrations; Portland police said no arrests were made.

Inflatable frog and other animal costumes are expected to be spotted at protests across the country on Saturday.

Opponents of President Donald Trump’s administration are set to rally in hundreds of cities on Saturday, Oct. 18, in a second round of “No Kings” protests.

Nationwide protests against the Trump administration are planned for Saturday, including several in Central Oregon. The “No Kings” protests are a follow up to similar nationwide demonstrations held in June.

The Activist Coalition of Eugene Springfield, a coalition of 20 activist organizations in the two cities, organized the Eugene rally. ACES also organized the Hands Off protest rally in April and the "No Kings" rally in June. That protest coincided with President Donald Trump's birthday and a large military parade in Washington, D.C.

No Kings events are taking place across the country Saturday and thousands are expected to show their support in several events in downtown Houston and at gatherings in surrounding cities. The protests are meant as a national day of action and mobilization in response to what No Kings organizers believe is overreach by President Donald Trump and in opposition to "authoritarian" leadership,
