The National Hurricane Center is tracking three systems in the Atlantic, according to the 8 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, advisory.

Although the storm will pass just over 200 miles offshore on Thursday, serious impacts are expected across North Carolina’s Outer Banks because of the storm’s expanding wind and wave field.
