Caitlin Clark’s day for the Indiana Fever was bookended by shots that were reminiscent of her career with Iowa’s women’s basketball team.

That Clark received such an ovation comes as no surprise. She became the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer during a career littered with accomplishments, including two Naismith Awards, two Associated Press Player of the Year awards, two Wooden Awards, three Big Ten Player of the Year Awards and four All-American selections.

Clark also has revealed that many fans who cheered for her at Iowa became Fever fans after Indiana picked her first overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft. After setting the NCAA record for points scored in a career at Iowa, Clark has come to be a living legend in Iowa City -- and she has prepared her current teammates for the adulation they will receive.
