Playoff contender Chase Elliott is done for the day after being ensnarled in a multi-car crash on Lap 52 of the YellaWood 500 at Talladega.

Chase Elliott and the No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports team were handed a penalty during Sunday, 12 October's race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

With the playoff field being whittled down from eight to the Championship 4 after 500 laps at the paperclip, Larson is still alive if a new, third winner in the Round emerge as well. He would only need to gain a couple of points on Christopher Bell, who is 37 points above the elimination point.
