A state district court judge in Collin County agreed Friday to seal all records relating to divorce proceedings between Attorney General Ken Paxton and Sen. Angela Paxton, according to reports by The Dallas Morning News and The New York Times.

The order meant details in the case, which involves allegations of adultery, would not be public as the Texas attorney general challenges Senator John Cornyn in the 2026 primary.

The edit comes after court filings revealed that Angela Paxton filed for divorce on July 10, citing "biblical grounds" and claiming "recent discoveries" led to her decision. The couple has reportedly been living apart since June 2024. The filing also accuses Ken Paxton of adultery.
