AIEA, Hawaii (Island News) -- City crews harvested a tree in Aiea that will be the centerpiece for the Honolulu City Lights. The 55-foot Cork Pine tree was cut down on Tuesday morning, Nov. 11 in preparation for the holiday celebration. The tree that was harvested was taken at the intersection of Ka‘ahele Street and Holopuni Street.
