The Penguins signed Justin Brazeau to a two-year deal with an annual cap hit of $1.5 million, TSN’s Darren Dreger reported. Pittsburgh signed Wotherspoon earlier in the day to a two-year deal with an AAV of $1 million.

Connor Dewar and Philip Tomasino became an unrestricted free agents when the Pittsburgh Penguins decided not to give them a qualifying offer, but they didn’t stay away long. A few hours into free agency the team announced that both players have been signed to a one-year contracts in the very same press release.

With the Bruins in need of some scoring punch, Don Sweeney and Boston pulled off a deal for a middle-six winger on Tuesday. Boston announced just ahead of the start of free agency that they have acquired forward Viktor Arvidsson from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for a 2027 fifth-round pick.
