Defying all logic, a vehicle has been found parked in the hangar of the USS Yorktown, which was famously sunk in the Pacific by a Japanese submarine during World War II. The baffling discovery was made Saturday, April 19, when NOAA Ocean Exploration sent a remotely operated camera inside the massive wreck, about 1,000 miles northwest of Honolulu.

NOAA explorers have uncovered an unexpected relic during a recent dive to the wreck of the USS Yorktown which they believe is a possible personal Ford vehicle belonging to one of the most important US commanders of World War II.

NOAA is asking for the public's help in identifying the car, which went down with the USS Yorktown during the 1942 Battle of Midway.
