The Detroit Tigers have put together some extremely impressive baseball stints over the course of the 2025 season.

Relieving pitcher Kyle Finnegan accomplished a unique feat during his appearance on the mound in the Tigers' 5-0 win over the Royals.

Riley Greene hit his first career grand slam to give the Tigers a 4-3 lead in the third inning, sending it 471 feet to center.

Prior to the Tigers' loss to the New York Mets to start September, they had a 10-game lead in their division. Even with the loss, they still have the best record in the American League as the lone team to reach 80 wins so far this year. Besides the Milwaukee Brewers, Detroit is the only team in baseball to reach that milestone.

The Tigers return to Comerica Park, where they are one of five teams in Major League Baseball to have 44 wins at home so far. One of those teams is the New York Mets, who are trying to hold onto one of the last Wild Card spots in the National League, while trying to keep up with the Philadelphia Phillies in the race for first place in the NL East.

The LSU Tigers put together quite an impressive win in their season opener, defeating the Clemson Tigers by a score of 17-10 this past Saturday. And on the road, no less. However, that does not mean LSU head coach Brian Kelly remains safe from criticism.
