Pokémon’s yellow mascot is ageless. The franchise celebrated its 20th anniversary last year, but aside from some small tweaks, Pikachu remains as reliably cute as it was the day it was introduced.

Pikachu remained the mascot for such a long time in fact, that many fans start wondering why and for how long is Pikachu to remain as such for the future.

In one photo, what appears to be a person in a Pikachu mascot costume stands next to a person with a distorted face. Another photo shows a Japanese woman carrying Pikachu in her arms.

The last point is pretty true. The person in that Pikachu mascot suit can not only move fast enough for the Quick Attack but can do so while wearing a Giant Pikachu suit.
