NASA is opting to bring home the four members of Crew-11 early after one of them suffered a medical incident on board the International Space Station.
The shakeup will leave the ISS indefinitely staffed by one NASA astronaut, rookie Chris Williams, and two cosmonauts, Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergei Milkaev, who launched on Nov. 27 aboard the Soyuz-MS-28 for a planned eight-month stay.
Two NASA astronauts were planning to conduct a spacewalk outside the International Space Station on Thursday, but now, it appears they may be coming home early.
