A 21-year-old woman from Miami was arrested Wednesday in connection with a hit-and-run crash that occurred earlier this week, City of Miami police announced Thursday.

Rodgers ran out of the car with a female passenger, briefly returning to remove the car’s license plate before running away again, according to police. The scooter rider, who suffered severe head trauma, was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where she remained in critical condition as of Wednesday.
