City crews installed Thursday a 55-foot Cook Pine tree that will serve as the centerpiece for the 40th annual Honolulu City Lights celebration. The tree was harvested in Aiea Tuesday.

The opening night festivities kick off a month-long celebration of dazzling lights, displays, and family-friendly activities on the Frank F. Fasi Civic Center grounds.
