RM Sotheby's sold a 2008 Ferrari F430 GTC for €459,200 ($490,310) in January in Paris; a 2008 Ferrari F430 Scuderia sold for $182,600 at a Motostalgia sale in Amelia Island, Fla.

The 2004-2009 F430, though, is a landmark Ferrari for one important reason: it was the last mid-engined Ferrari offered with a manual transmission.

The F430 Challenge is the latest vehicle developed by Ferrari to run in its Grand-Am-sanctioned Challenge racing series. Some 140 have been produced, at $228,850 each.

Last but certainly not least, Ferrari’s gorgeous-looking F430 has the quickest-shifting transmission, the most horsepower, and the lowest curb weight.
