According to witnesses, Roger Howell from Overton County was slumped over the steering wheel and then fell from the boat. The incident took place near Sunset Marina on Dale Hollow Reservoir.

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency officers were called to the Dale Hollow Reservoir near Sunset Marina just after 6:30 p.m. for a boat operator in the water.

The vessel was completely destroyed by the fire but no injuries were reported.
