Grammy Awards are underway, and there are four highly contested country music categories: Best Country Solo Performance, Best Country Duo/Group Performance, Best Country Song, and Best Country Album.

Beyoncé, the most decorated Grammy artist in history, has won the 2025 award for best country album for her 2024 smash record, "Cowboy Carter." Taylor Swift, nominated for six Grammys this year, presented her with the award.

Correcting what was widely seen as an historic wrong, Beyoncé won best album at the 67th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. The star was recognised for her eighth album, Cowboy Carter, which celebrates and contextualises the black roots of country music. She had previously been passed over for the ceremony's main prize on four separate occasions.
