Police say a 3-year-old boy died and his mother was hurt after both were stabbed by a woman in the parking lot of a North Olmsted Giant Eagle in Ohio.

A female, who is currently in the custody of North Olmsted Police, stabbed a female customer and her 3-year-old son," Dailey Jones said, who also noted they were taken to St. John Medical Center.

The boy's mother, Margot Wood, 28, of North Olmsted also was stabbed in the shoulder during the attack. She did not suffer life-threatening injuries and should recover from her wounds, officials said.
