The Golden State Warriors made one of the biggest trades of the NBA season, acquiring five-time All-Star Jimmy Butler, but sending fan-favorite forward Andrew Wiggins to the Miami Heat in return.

When Andrew Wiggins was drafted first overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2014, he burst onto the scene, clearly full of potential. However, he and Karl-Anthony Towns were never able to get the Wolves over the hump, and he was traded to the Golden State Warriors in 2020.

Even though Jimmy Butler informed the Warriors he would not sign an extension if he was traded there, the six-time All-Star landed there anyway. Moments after the news broke that Butler was traded from the Heat to the Warriors, however, he reportedly agreed to a two-year extension with the franchise anyway.
