Venezuela’s ambassador to the U.N. is condemning a recent U.S. strike on a small boat in Caribbean waters that killed six people, calling it “a new set of extrajudicial executions.”
Tuesday’s strike in the southern Caribbean has brought the total number killed to 27 since President Donald Trump ordered a buildup of U.S. military forces in the region, allegedly to target Venezuelan drug cartels.
The Trump admin has in recent weeks launched other strikes on boats allegedly connected to Venezuelan drug cartels, but until Thursday, there were no survivors.
